I am moving to greenwich in two weeks. I am looking for any hints or tips for getting involved in the community.

Contact the local Chamber of commerce about a Newcomers Club. They usually sponsor one. Also check the local library for activities as well as the local YMCA. Jay

Check out the local paper for events - and participate in whatever you like. You'll run into people with like interests. When it warms up a little, the parks and beaches are great places to hang out and meet people. If you have kids - get involved at their school - that's where our initial circle of Gwich friends came from. Welcome!

Here is what you need:

Late model Mercedes
Docksiders without socks
Child in rehab
Polo shirt
Latina housekeeper
Lithium for your wife

The rest will come naturally. Welcome to Fairfield County.

Ambar- My pleasure

tall- This is more of a wealthy nautical Fairfield County (Old Greenwich, Westport, Rowayton) thing. Inland, you're more likely to find tiny blonde housewives in tanklike SUVs than the sockless docksider guys in their classic Mercedes.
