I am so glad I was able to help!! I started knitting in May, it's a lot of fun. A great stress reliever. I only took one class at All About Art in Monroe, and learned the basic knitting/garter stitch, and that was it. If you go to knittinghelp.com, they have videos that show you how to cast on, knit, purl, bind off etc. I have learned a lot there. I also get a lot of beginner patterns at lionbrand.com.

Good luck!!

Default Knitting Lessons in West Norwalk

Private knitting lessons will get you going 4X faster than a group. I teach Knitting to Beginners and Experienced Knitters. I am a patient teacher with 20+ years of experience who will teach Beginners Continential knitting (yarn feeds from the left)---the easiest and most efficient way to knit.

Learn how to cast on, knit, purl, and measure gauge; also learn how to choose projects, choose tools, and yarns. (I am undaunted by lefties, and those who have never knit before but want to be part of the trend.)

Experienced knitters—I can teach you how to work with multiple colors, follow a charted pattern, a lace pattern, knit cables, and how to work on circulars/seamless construction. Want to tackle a sweater or cardigan?—I’ll get you started or help you through the tough spots. If you are interested in learning Continential (the style of Elizabeth Zimmerman, author of The Opinionated Knitter) I can teach you that as well.

I am located in West Norwalk near Darien and New Canaan. A 45 minute lesson is $30. Want to bring a friend who also wants to learn? $50 for 2 people/45 minutes. I have lesson times available for Monday and Tuesday evenings.

I'm actually still taking knitting lessons from the lady that worked out of the T-Room mentioned above. I am having a fabulous time. I've knitted several gifts - hats, blankets - scarves.

Default Knitting class near Durham?

Hi, I moved back to CT from MA about a year and a half ago and haven't been able to find a knitting class near Durham..I used to take classes in MA and now I'm forgetting everything! Does anyone know of a class in Durham/Wallingford/Meriden/Middletown or close to those?
Tara

I believe Wilton Continuing Education offers knitting classes.

Nevermind. I thought this was a new thread.
