Like New Haven's Development Thread, I've been wanting to make one for Stamford as this city has been seeing a lot of activity lately. Over the past few years, Stamford has see big developments, most famously, the Harbor Point master plan. This momentum is expected to continue. Also, instead of creating multiple, low traffic threads for a few of the projects being talked about right now, we can use this main thread, like New Haven's development thread as I've said, to talk about the projects.

That one is an end around. They're blowing smoke on that one to try to convince Brewer's to take the property while they can.

I had forgotten about this thread. I will definitely update this more often!

Here are a few pics I took over the weekend of the Harbor Square Hotel at Harbor Point (South End).

Harbor Square Hotel is no longer destined to be a Hotel or Condo. Rental apts. only. that's where the money is in Stamford. Stam is not a condo town. After the housing bubble burst, young affluents just want to rent. Trump Park is still not full and High Grove, originally a luxury 15 story condo, became a high end rental unit (4-6000 a month) and rented out.

Here are a few more projects. I don’t know the name of them, so I will refer to them by their location.

A new residential building on Summer Street next to the movie theater.
