Have the radar handy. You'll be able to tell when and where the heavier stuff is. We'll know better tomorrow. Also not sure where you work or travelling or how good your tires are.

I keep reminding myself about that 1-2" snowfall Dec 17th which had the roads a mess. (I think it was Dec 17th. Maybe Jan 2?) The temps will be similar to that. So if it starts at 1pm, that's means by 3pm things will get slick but not impassable.

Leaving from Scarsdale,NY to head up to Orange.....Merritt.......Actually just put some new tires on last week, all seasons with very high ratings in snow so I guess I get to test them out.
As long as the parkway is decent, I can get there with no issues....Its the other drivers I worry about around me.

Tuesday, looks safe right now, IMO. I think high schools have finals and get out early to begin with. I think Tuesday looks like it clears the storm.
It will be interesting what Danbury does because you're right the HS has midterm week this week and gets out at (I think) 11 every day (I worked part of the week in a special resource room there called the Tutoring Center for about a year until this month when I left it for something else in Stamford that's temporary but 5 days/week, so that's how I know their schedule). But they already moved midterm week by a week because of the Jan 2-3 storm to give more time to review and although they are covered if the rest of the district has an "early dismissal" it will be interesting if Wednesday is a closure....will they just shift the rest of midterm week by a day or just do the rest next week?

Ironically, at the middle school I work at in Stamford they are doing midterms this week but unlike at the high school level it is a single day all day affair (it's Wednesday) so I think unless somehow this is a dud to the level that there is no reduced school day or closure at all it's getting moved over (and it too was moved to allow more review time due to the Jan 2-3 storm).

Aside from flurries on/off snow showers, Next snow chances after tomorrow.

Sunday 26th (little)
Tuesday 28th (medium)
Sunday 2nd (need to watch)

Also note... whatever falls tomorrow will be around for weeks at least. Unless that Feb 2nd storm is rain.
