This winter if you take away the artic blasts has been a bit of a bust imo. It rained a lot. Snow cover came and went fast. No monster storms and temps in 50s. To me that's a weak winter that carried over from a weak fall.

2014 winter will be remembered for this storm in south and artic air across country. But here in CT u take away that artic air and was a major major let down. That saved it.

Yet we are above average in snowfall. I guess really what you are saying is Southern new England weather as a whole is a bust for you unless we get a 6 week period like 2011 ..which of course happens once in a lifetime. EVERY year we get temps in the 50's and rain in CT...its NORMAL ..

THIS year.....is abnormal for cold. In fact the polar vortex comes down this far and stays about once every 10 years..

I'm obsessed I keep checking on next week's snow! When's the next update?

On another note, cold weather is keeping the basement beer shelf cold. Selected a Sam Adams cold snap for tonight, seems fitting.

lol. Still early for constant updates. I wont bore you with the back and forth of what they're showing. Rain, Snow, ect ect

GFS 8-15" of snow
Canadian 4-8" of snow change to flooding rains
EURO Heavy Rain

Too early for details. We all seen what happens 24hrs before an event. The energy has to come closer to the U.S and that wont happen until Saturday.
