Will update on storm tomorrow.

Latest says 3-6" of snow, dreaded freezing rain for few hours, rain for another few hours back to snow and flash freezes. I don't like the setup of this one as much as the February 9th storm. But "I think" we'll be shoveling, plowing Tuesday night then it's the ice part we have to worry about.

With snowcover and High pressure to the north, surface temps will stay colder (models don't pick up on that as great). Mid Levels warm up with surface below freezing = ICE.

Nasty nasty ice storm on latest GFS. Lets hope that's not the case.

Either way, we might be getting some delays Wednesday morning. Weekend coming up for better clarity on this event. Snow to start looking likely. Then we should hope for a quicker warm-up then shown otherwise we might have to deal with ice issues.

The GFS appears to be trending milder and I'm sure it's related to that ridge with the positive height anomaly in the Atlantic. Air upstream is still rather chilled with the snowpack. I'm thinking central New England will get a decent snow out of this as long as the track does not shift even further north.
