Taking the trash out this morning was an adventure. I would have been better off wearing ice skates.

Town roads were crusty with ice but at least sanded enough where you could get traction. Rt. 94 looked clear but was a sheet of ice up until Glastonbury center. Honestly, I am surprised there aren't more wrecks out there this morning. Hopefully everyone is reducing speeds and getting where they need to be safely!
Yeah I agree. Roads were so bad this morning that it was scary. I have 4WD but that doesn't help on ice. Traffic was moving no faster than 30 on the highway this morning, and was completely stopped going in the other direction. Probably the worst roads I've seen all season.

Ice is 100 times worse than snow. Kind of funny how school doesn't get closed for a mess like that, but they close for 2 inches of snow.

So what's with the rain...how much are we expecting? I just want to make trenches in the piles if it's going to be a lot. So the walk & drive don't glaze over.

Yep.......I was being careful on the Merritt but I came around a turn and hit a patch of ice that definately woke me up. Lol. FWD car and it made the back end wiggle just enough to say "Oh crap"!
And of course walking out the front door to turn the car on and warm it up and slipped on the ice because the icicles above melted into ice. Fun morning indeed......

Latest GFS12z now shows snow for Monday morning, not Sunday. lol

Here's what it's showing upcoming. Thank Today and Tomorrow's Blizzard in upper Midwest for our warmth and rain here with the front tomorrow.

Sunday night storm tracks in TN valley and exits the coast and throws back snow over us Monday morning. 2-4" snow

Then 26th storm still showing up but here it's a 995mb low too far out but throws back snow over us. 3-6" fluff snow

And GFS doesn't end there. But I will. Storm on 4th, snow on the 8th still too far to talk about.

I know.....my last 3 Chevys had one and I loved it. The Hyundai I traded the Chevy in for comes with it as an option but the one I went for didnt have it equipped and since I bought it in July, I didnt care at that moment........this winter made me re-think that. Lol.......
