My birthday is in mid-march and I remember thinking we'd have snow forever in 2011. Instead I was tanning on the deck with no snow. Hoping for a repeat!

GM, I had my car window open yesterday too, and left it open all night! Dried the sheets on the line today as well, only the third time I've been able to do so this winter.

You're right. 2 days above 50 and it's still very deep. I took off from Bradley today and the landscape was white as far as the eye could see. Ground is clear out here in western PA though!

If you saw my earlier post, ground is clear closer than you think......even NWS snow cover map now shows that southern half of LI and the boros of Queens and Brooklyn are mostly green now.....was very weird to go from complete snow cover to almost nothing in a mere 30-40 miles.

NAM model tonight says what snow Wednesday? GFS also continues its looong streak of nothing for Wednesday.

Man that Euro has been absolutely horrible this year. And its also continued to say Danbury in single digits Tuesday mornng while gfs says 20s.

Euro will need to step it up because its losing ground lately.

I don't see Wednesday a threat at all in CT

Even looking at Cam's satellite view of the snow cover, you could still see the "urban core" of NYC. It's cool to witness such a micro-climate. On the other hand, there's still 6-12 inches of snow pack near Danbury!

Good to hear. In fact I injured my lower back on Saturday chipping away at ice on the driveway, which I am truly mad at myself over. A shovel free week is much needed!

There's still the Feb 28-Mar 1 and Mar 3-4 storms on the table. We'll see.....

Oh man, not fun. Rest up. Not sure about "shovel free" because even just 1-2" is shoveable. But what will be nice is that anything that falls should be that fluff stuff broom type snow. Yeah, we definitely trended drier with this morning and Wednesday. I don't see any threat at all this week.

Biggest story will be the near-sub zero wind chills Wednesday and the cold for the next week or so..

Here's yesterday's 10pm OBS but I sorted by High temps to show the actual highs.
