CT seems to be spared of the worst impacts as of now. Obviously things will still change

Danbury: 0.22" all snow (1-3")
Groton: 0.32" all snow (2-3")
Nantucket: 1.26" Snow maybe some mixing since surface is a bit above freezing.

So in other words..a lot of nothing for us.

I propose that until 3 days out nobody can talk about the weather.

Cam- Been busy and haven't really been paying attention with the models or forecast's. So is this one suppressed and going south? The cold looks to be around next week?

Entirely different scenario not a matter of being suppressed with this one since its coming from the Gulf and up the coast. It's a matter of East-West miss based on track and position. Yes, Cold after tomorrow for few days but rest assure... I see a warmup/pattern coming. This storm looks to be the winter kicker (pun intended)

Afternoon temps March 22, 2014. Wind Gusts in red.

1st time Bridgeport has 50°+ 3 days in a row since December 21-23

Yeah, Euro is a BOOM for the belt... Something I'm noting to myself that I feel like I'm repeating... "Banana Belt".. this snowstorm doesn't seem like its for southwest of New Haven. Long Island might get it but NYC not so. Danbury might miss out on the big stuff.

Of course we're still 4 days away still but its crunch time tomorrow. We'll get better continuity tomm night/Mon morning. CT is on the border of a Big Snowstorm or a no big deal event.

Here's the qpf amounts from the latest Euro just out:

NYC: 0.59"
Danbury, CT: 0.48"
Hartford, CT: 0.45"
Providence, RI: 1.00"
Nantucket, MA: 2.09"!
Boston, MA: 0.77"
Concord, NH: 0.28"

And Here's the raw data from the Euro12z for Nantucket and Hartford.

Man those 850mb temps are cold for this time of yr! Look at Nantucket! If the 2.09" is all snow that's gotta be historic.
