When the air temp drops below 32 degrees, the air holds very little humidity. It's never truly humid. That's scientific fact. A raw damp chilly day is generally when it's raining and 32-49 degrees. That rain is going to make it feel much colder.

Current Radar as the low exits the coast. 4" of snow reported in Garrett Maryland. 62mph NW Wind gust in NC

Enjoy the break over us, next batch of rain moves in soon. Maybe some mixing if you get lucky overnight and in the morning.

My basement got flooded. Water was coming up through the cement in the middle of the basement. The ground is so saturated outside. Crazy. I think I got 3+ inches.

I'm lucky to look outside and it seems like it didn't rain much. Ground soaked it up but few soggy areas for sure.. Rivers must be raging out there.

Some locations like Bridgeport and Islip got more rain in less than 24hrs than we did with Tropical Storm Irene dropped August 2011.

I just checked my basement here in New Britain's south end. I have no standing water, just two damp areas: One near the center by the furnace and one at the southeast corner (front right of the house). weather.com said like 1.32 inches for New Britain's 06052. However, I don't know where that report truly comes from.
