Ah yes delivered twins on August 20th that summer. Full term. Hot indeed.

?? Are you sure 1983? Where did you get that info from?

Here's the max temp and max dewpoint Summer of 1983. Hot Yes. Dewpoints 70+ 6 weeks straight NO.

Look close and you'll see there were breaks in the mugginess. Only lasted a day or so but Dewpoints never past 50s and 60s some days. Not even the temps look extreme.

Here's the source. Select Year, Select Month. Daily Summaries Station Details: BRIDGEPORT SIKORSKY MEMORIAL AIRPORT, CT US, GHCND:USW00094702 | Climate Data Online (CDO) | National Climatic Data Center (NCDC)

Here's July 11, 1983. Dewpoints in the 50s(DRY) and temps in the 70s(Cool).
Only hit 95° once that year.

June ended up below normal. July normal. August normal.

14.56" of rain here in the last 2.5 months. (Since April 4th).

We Need Some Weather Balance Now. Sun, Warm, Dry, Wind.

Mushrooms everywhere because ground so saturated.

Forget the peppers this year. Horrible!

Tricky because if there are clouds or rain around forget the upper 80s/90s. Might just be upper 70s/low 80s like you said. With the pattern we been having the odds are against 87-92. We'll see.

I want to hit 90s because this weather is boring the heck out of me. lol. Give me something interesting.

You can guess the dewpoint by knowing when the difference between the high temperature and low temperature gets narrower, that's humidity and/or rain... High 80 low 68 with sun is muggy air

I would even prefer high 89 low 56. Basically when the low is 68 and less than 15 degrees from the high, it usually means nighttime 100% humidity and dew formation and the smell of mold and fog

I would actually prefer the Sunday warm high with the lower low

Than the Thursday high 80 low 67
