Ironically, Central Park ended up below normal (though barely....only 0.4 and nighttime lows averaged exactly normal).

A look at July temp departures for U.S and Northeast. New England leveled out some after warm first half. The cooling in the Heartland was relentless. I'm finding Top 5 and 10 coldest Julys for many from Arkansas to Illinois

Current Radar and temps. Looks like NorthWest CT starting August the way it left off for July.. Wet!

We got South Winds and I always wonder if they are doing the trick undercutting storms/precip to where the coast gets less or nothing then the hills.

Hills enhance Precip.

Goodbye Hot August. Last hope for heat is after mid month and that's long range...

Did you guys see all the record coldest Julys we had in the U.S??? Tons of locations within Top10 or coldest. Some crazy stuff. I started a thread on it.

Accuweather claims in their 'This Date in Weather History' that records from the year 1812 show that a significant tornado went from the area of the Tappan Zee Bridge across the current route of 287 and 95 to Greenwich, maybe Stamford. Interesting.....

Yeah I think models were having trouble with when the rain moved in. Apparently the one that showed the early rains won. lol.

I don't follow it as close as I do in the winter because obviously rain or warm sun bores me. LOL

Should be clearing out by lunch. Then should be cloudy with pokes of sun all day today. Next rains move in after 7pm I think.

Sunday looks good...I think

Mid Afternoon in the Dog Days of Summer Bridgeport,CT at 69°. Last time they failed to go above low 70s was June 13th!

We have East Winds.
