How about today? Feels like 90s out there in spots. Not often have I seen the purples. lol Dewpoints in 60s.

Cold front dropping down and will stall, then lift back north as a warm front. Sunday looks HOT.

Central Park hit exactly 90 (again, like the one day earlier this month, briefly for under an hour but had several hours of 89), Newark went back to its "old ways" and was up to 93! BDR still not 90, topped out at 87, BDL mimicked Central Park in a way, got to 91 for one hour but had several hours at 89. Boston (Logan) did the same thing, but was at 90 instead of 91. Some of the BOX climate sites have not published their 5pm daily climate report yet, so I used hourly data for those and the highs could change (i.e. BDL, Logan, etc.).

Only other 90 I found in the entire Northeast so far is Philly, who also topped at 90 (even DC was "just" 89.....)

Yeah, so BDL 91 today means they got 89° or warmer 3 days in a row. 1st time since July 7,8,9

Current OBS sorted by Max. 70 Dewpoint in New Haven! Tropical

I was fooled. Actually I had just forgotten. I saw morning temps would be in the 60s and thought nothing of it. Seemed warm or normal for end of August morning..

But with dewpoints in the 50s you can feel the cool air.

Amazing what drier air does! Feels nice out there this morning. 70s for max today. Tomorrow even better. Morning temps actually in 50s max 70s

I noticed that even around NYC the NWS has cut back on Sunday/Monday being near 90 though. They seem to think a very humid mid-80s Sunday through Tuesday with a chance of thundershowers each day (then slightly cooler after that but warmer than today thru Saturday).

Central Park and BDR still about a degree below normal so today thru Saturday should keep August a below normal month. My gut is we get an above normal Sept., especially with the coming warm start to it.

Nice NW Breeze around and dry here. Love it. Finally a constant breeze gusting to 25mph at times..

You can see where the front passed through Dewpoint in DC is 64° while Philly a dry 54°

So the front is stalled around Virginia and DC is on the northern edge of it not benefiting from the northerly push of dry air.

I think this might explain why BDL is always so much warmer. 135 degree runway temps yesterday! Lol

LMAO! NICE CATCH. Heat rises and expands right? But more importantly... I wonder how many planes were around before 1960....

BTW.. I found exactly where the station is.
