Just realized BDR Hit 91! So a rare occurrence September 2014 will have the highest temp of the yr.

It happened between the hourly report. So either between 2-3pm or 3-4pm

So BDR ended the 70+ dewpoint streak at 65 hours in a row. We stay warm until weekend.

Looks like we have to wait until Sunday. Then we warm up again mid week. (But not like this past week)

Is the long-awaited cooldown this coming this weekend? It would be so good after these past 4 days...

Well.. it was suppose to start Saturday. Now its Sunday. but yeah, we'll see a difference Sunday-Wed then humidity comes back mid week but short lasting...

Slowly transitioning into Fall. "Slowly" is key word... I think we'll have these ups and downs unlike August where it was mostly down.

Question is.. Will Septembers average end up warmer than August. Never happened in BDR or Islip.

1964 came close for BDR.

August 2014 72.6°
Currently September (2 days LOL) 81.8°! Normal is 66.2°

How do you guys like the drier air today?

Just to give you an idea here's the current dewpoints.. Temps mostly in the mid-upper 70s around...

Dewpoints in the 50s is kinda comfortable for this time of year. Not my personal preference but no complaints unless temps were in the 80s/90s with it

I see a string of clouds pushing southeast. Looks Sunny for most part.

You made me curious, so I looked up for Central Park too, looks like it actually did happen there in 1921 and came very close in 1881 (one of two years they had a 100 degree day in Sept.....Aug was only 0.4 warmer).....1930 was the only other one I could find that was less than 2 deg apart (1.6 degree difference).......this is because since those days Augusts have been warmer and Septembers have actually been a bit cooler.

Max temp so far this year. Let me know if you're curious on something else. I can do minimum, average temp, precip monthly, yearly, snowfall, ect.

Interesting to note Buffalo and Islip may go 90less this year.
