Thankful this was not a work day. Weird how all our weather situations have been in the morning this year.

yeah, I noticed that too. Does anyone want to tally all the storms so far since December 1 and the times?

Current radar and temps. There's still trouble out there. Poughkeepsie still under freezing with heavy precip. Danbury too. BDL/Hartford reporting ice. NYC rain now as well as entire CT coast

Mid-upper 40s on Long island

That is too cool!!! But lets hope they don't use that feature WHILE driving.

The culprit in all this... Mid level Warmup

850mb temps. It's actually colder in the Tennessee Mountains than parts of the Adirondacks.

Wow that's interesting technology. It is terrible out there. 30 degrees at the airport in Danbury. Cold air being quite stubborn to scour out along 84 line.

Nah, they've all been sitting there stopped for almost an hour.

The app actually seems to be used by a lot of bored passengers, which is awesome, they get points for reporting things, they have nothing better to do etc.. teens seem into it as well.

Lately it's been a great add on to a radar detector.. you can see the officer way in advance on the map.. then the radar detector verifies he/she is there when you get closer!

News 12 should hire me to sit there and report for them from home!

typical drivers..

people need to be more careful out there!

11am Radar, temp and metar update. Upper 40s Long Island but still at/below freezing north of Merrit.

This is why I hate ice. Less than 0.20" of it is still a disaster.

Cold air lasted longer than thought! Add heavy precip and that's spell trouble.
