This storm is so confusing. Can't seem to find a solid prediction or forecast.

What an event this is turning into. Widespread 1 foot + of snow total to fall from NY Lake Ontario to the coast

Caribou and NYC missing out

When is snow expected to start, Cambium? My husband is taking our sons skiing tomorrow morning. They'll be driving early from Fairfield up Rt 8 to ski at Sundown and plan to be heading home around 2pm. Should they adjust plans to come back earlier for bad road conditions? We are relatively recent residents and have never driven this route, let alone with possible snow or ice. Thanks!

Doesn't go above freezing till past the 22nd.

Stays below 10°F Friday to Wednesday. WHA???!
I know it's Danbury and not NYC or BDR and Danbury already got to -8 yesterday morning, but am I reading that right and it's suggesting -15 to -20 next weekend?

Snow should start after 10am. Hope you got good tires. Might be icing around in CT too. But should be light stuff unlike Sunday night Monday. Download a free radar app and watch it like a hawk! Got a smart phone? go on the net to a radar site.

GFS wants to bring a coastal storm very near us Thursday now in advance of the arctic outbreak. Have to be watched.

Oh crap I didnt even notice that being shown on the data. Haha. Interesting.

And how come the media isn't all over this polar vortex this year? Lol. Its dropping so far south and yet I'm not hearing the hype

We should call it a Polar Plunge instead of arctic outbreak
