Did you guys see the new colors from Upton for precip amount? Psychedelic. Not a fan of the bright pinks for <1".

Anyway..... Was a warm night. Front now over CT. Light showers.

Models still sniffing a cooler pattern after 22nd. Enjoy Spring. Nice we actually have it for more than 1-2 days finally.

This is last frame from latest Euro. Jet stream goes south of us and there's some very chilly air north of it.

2015 Average Temp Update. Period from Jan 1 to Apr 13.

It's still the coldest on record for many folks.. Here's just Syracuse, Worcester, Providence and Bridgeport.

28.3°F for Providence? Wow.
Bridgeport 29.6°!?

If we don't have some well above normal months, we might end up coldest or Top 5 coldest years this year.

It is quite strange to be in mid April and only just starting to see buds on trees...

Camb, you gonna do another picture this year of what that part of your yard looks like? I remember you did one that showed things blooming later and later for the past few years. The one you add this year will be mighty depressing.

Latest GFS northern CT. Moisture with 850mb below freezing? More snow for the MA/NY hills?

Nothing extreme or too cool coming, but looks like no real heat or above normal stuff after the 20th..
Next Tues-Wed look cool (clouds)

NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE NEW YORK NY
755 PM EDT TUE APR 14 2015

OVERNIGHT LOWS WILL GENERALLY RANGE FROM THE MID 30S INLAND...TO THE LOWER AND MID 40S AT THE COAST. THE WARMEST READINGS WILL BE IN AND AROUND THE NYC METRO. THESE READINGS ARE NEARLY SEASONABLE.

.SHORT TERM /6 AM WEDNESDAY MORNING THROUGH WEDNESDAY NIGHT/...

HIGH PRESSURE CONTINUES TO BUILD SE FROM THE GREAT LAKES WITH A DRY NORTHERLY FLOW. HIGHS WED WILL TOP OUT IN THE MID TO UPPER 60S...WHICH IS ABOUT 5 TO 10 DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL

We'd probably be struggling past teens and low 20s.

Am I the only one who's wondering when our first 80 degrees day will be? 90's suck, but low 80s are beautiful. I need it.

Many areas haven't even had their first 70 degree day yet......forecasts seem to suggest that will be Saturday (but with rain )

In 2011 BDR had to wait until May 29th to hit 80°
In 1958 BDR had to wait until June 26th! Wow

Normal is May 10th. Last yr hit on May 11.

Normal is April 29th for BDL

My guess is they hit 80 after May 10th this yr.
