I saw snow today! Well...there's a tiny pile of dirty snow left on the CCSU campus in New Britain. It's in an enclosed section, on the shaded north side of a parking garage. Probably only enough to make a couple of snowballs now.

At last check, New Britain was at 80 F/26 C!

As for drought, it's already happening. The UNL Drought Monitor site has 96.5% of Connecticut under the yellow color for "abnormally dry". The only remaining part with no drought? A sliver of southeastern Windham County and the eastern third of New London County.

Asking what happened to Spring? We're right...

It's one of the least number of times we had Spring max temps from March 1 to May 6th. We went from Winter to Summer this year.

Bridgeport this year had 35 days where the max temps were between 45-65 degrees F. Only 2 other years had less for the time period.

Hartford only 29 times.. That's 3rd least since 1949.

I knew we didn't get much of Spring time temps around here. Only 29 of 67 days did in Hartford

Normal Max for Hartford is low 40s starting March and mid 60s ending April. What the heck happened to those temps? Maybe for summer? LOL

Interesting 2012 didn't make the list, I thought with it so warm it might make the list. I guess it removed more cold maxes than mild ones.

Looks like the eastern half of CT may get a brief bit of a cooldown (I emphasize may as this shows it may not make it), though NWS is showing even for NYC it to be cloudy and a little cooler for just one day tomorrow:

I kinda wish we at least had a little bit of spring. :|

Did you see that subtropical storm down near Georgia already? Gonna bring quite a bit of rain here I guess. Kind of weird that it's a month before hurricane season starts and the Atlantic is already getting started...

Yup, pretty much only 1 month of spring max temps. Had a Late Winter and now Early Summer. But at least it keeps things exciting in the weather world. I keep thinking about Florida how they been in the 80s for months now. Boring and Yuck. lol

I don't know why News8 didn't put rain for Tuesday, I think we'll get a little but its from a front. Not sure if its from Ana.

Will play model loops now. Click "loop all" and watch. Looks like it dissipates after moving into South Carolina then gets absorbed by the front.

Watch that quick shot of cold come in then High Pressure in Atlantic returns.
