Current radar & temps as it's lightly snowing here which is coming north from the Atlantic. Pretty surprised to see a breeze and moisture moving in from the Atlantic right now. It's supposed to be coming from the West at first.

Thanks Cam for the updates. I actually decided to stay home today. I didnt take one single sick day for 2013, they can live without me for a day. Of course being the type of person I am, I actually feel guilty.
I had no issues about driving in, I just didnt want to be at work and have to watch snow coming down and sticking, light or heavy, and then I was going to leave work early anyway to get a jump on the Merritt. Wife commutes with me but since she is a Paralegal, she can work from our house if neccessary. Hopefully I made the right choice by staying put.

If the schools around here plan on closing every time we get a couple of inches of snow, people better cancel their June vacations now.

NWS has lowered their snowfall totals. 6-8 for much of ct. 8-10 for northern/nw area's generally. Just a typical storm. The thing will be out of here by morning tomorrow for the most part. It's an overnight event. School with a 90 minute delay is still a possibility if only 6 inches falls and it's not even snowing tomorrow morning. They'll have to see what it looks like out at 5:30am tomorrow and make the call. Of course knowing the way they are around here they'll probably close.

What's funny, and I don't mean to be off topic, but I went to another States forum and saw that people were talking about temps in the -25º and it being somewhat "nice" out. It's snow, you live in New England. Why are people freaking out!? I get the school closing in some respect. But to me, it feels like if we get 3" of snow the whole state goes into a panic. Man up Connecticut! We look like whimps.

...and back to topic..

I had 1" of the white stuff, and it was lite.

Latest Snow total forecast compilation. I love the "thinking" of the swaths. meaning.. Accuweather has a more north to south 12"+ line in CT while Weather Channel has an East to West 12" swath.

TWC the most bullish. Upton & Team8 the most conservative.

I don't know of any families that schedule vacations for June, it's not uncommon for the school year to end in mid to late June.

Isn't that for lower FFC? I'm a little north in FFC and can't access that channel on Charter cable. We don't have the option for Cablevision. I don't think it's available north of Trumbull.

Yeah, I think that will catch some people by surprise. Not looking forward to it.
