I guess I'm still waiting for a good 12" dump of snow. Seems like we would have gotten more if the wind wasn't so crazy last night. My parents in Milford on the shore had hardly any wind. My house had a perfectly clear roof and front walk but the driveway was 4-6".

Some roads are still crap, others are wet, others are slushy. Should make for an interesting evening when everything hardens up with the sun gone.

Trumbull, got like 5 inches at my house. Parked at the end of the driveway, so I'm fine getting out. Definitely a dud here, even though Boston got hit hard.

IMPLIED.. this is why people should never take a model run and run with it. Its not a forecast and the guys will tell you that when they post it but people refuse to read it that way.

again, not sure what your problem is but it's becoming annoying. you know damn well this thing was described as a blizzard from day one with multiple projections forecasting 'heavy snow' for CT. the only difference was the amounts predicted - anywhere from 6-10 to 6-12. the 3-5 we got was not what i call heavy snow. this thing was a bust and i'm not the only one on this board that thinks so.

I'm with you. Again I know this was a tough storm to forecast and I don't blame the meteorologists, but we got far less than I thought. I have maybe 5" (hard to measure because there are some drifts), but it's definitely not the 8-10" I thought.

My old neighbors in Branford said they got about 2", and they were calling for 6-10".

well, cold is not driven by low pressure, which is the traditional definition of a 'storm,' now, is it? Not being snarky just pointing out that it yes, the cold will be remarkable and memorable but not really there since this is going to be the warmest year on record again . . . just tell your heating oil delivery man that you don't have to pay him since he is not really delivering oil since it is not really cold . . .

As predicted, today was the day to stay home if you could. Of course I could not, but I made it to work and home safely.
