2014 turns...and we begin...

I wanted to wait until the 12z updates and so I did. This is looking like a long duration storm from Wednesday night into Friday morning. We'll be posting updates in here regarding this storm now.

I think Thursday will be the troublesome commute day but maybe everyone will get the hint and make it a day off instead.

Lets begin with a map of 2 different senarios from Ryan Breton.

And you Gotta love those computer models that saw this coming from over 10 days out.

Over 6 less than 20. All we can do is mention what the models are showing on each update. They are like a tool for us but don't trust any 1 update. We'll have better idea tomorrow on totals.

Here's the latest Euro snow totals. It's major from D.C to Boston.

How many inches are anticipated to be falling/on the ground for Thursday AM commute? Or is that completely unknown as of right now?

Those details are impossible to know. If it starts lightly Thursday 4am there could be an inch accumulation by morning commute. Temps will be COLD and we saw what 1-3" did last time.

I'm now worried Friday will be non commutable too. Euro says heavier snows fall Thursday afternoon to Friday lunchtime.

LOTS of moisture with this one.
