It was midnight, my mothers sick and I was coming from the hospital when I noticed lights behind me at a red light, it was an officer. I mention my mother because its only me an her, and honestly I've been trying to juggle school and her health. I'm not sure what to do with another bill and possible conviction..

The ticket was for going 57 on a 45 by front radar and having expired FT display (little sticker on the back of the plate). I don't know if it matters but when i went to pay for the sticker I was told because I wasn't the owner she needed to sign off that I could pay. It slipped my mind and I didn't get to it in time..

She's been sick for a while and I've been trying my best to pay off all the bills, look for jobs, and now I got a ticket. What can I do...

On the back it says I got an insurance warning, not sure what that means..
How many points is it?

If you pay the ticket, you will get no points. If you plead not guilty, and they find you guilty, then there will be points.

That said, given your situation and if your record is clean, I would try to plead not guilty. When you get your court date, dress professional and be polite to the prosecutor (yes ma'am, no sir). Explain to them that this is your first ticket and you deeply regret it. They will usually lower the ticket.

With regards to your insurance warning, it sounds like your insurance expired and he gave you a verbal warning for it.
