You have an interesting project as Scotland and Windham are very different towns. Scotland is a more or less a small antique farm town representing the area where routes 14 and 97 (Devotion road) meet. In terms of industry there is virtually none save the store (The Scotland General store - which has served travelers through and locals since before the automobile) and a few family owned farms - milking parlors etc.. Some stables. Route 14 cuts the town in two and it is essentially residential land to either side of the road to the town lines. On the other hand, Windham encompasses Willimantic by definition (though it didn't always - whether or not to call it "Windham" or "Willimantic" was a slow decision made) and includes not only Windham Hospital, but a number of nursing homes, chiropractic offices - dental offices, walk in clinics etc. I think there is a wealth of stuff to dig into in terms of Windham but tying it to rural and historical Scotland might be tough. If it's not too late perhaps you could just focus on Windham and if you must include Scotland perhaps relate statistically how many people in Scotland avail themselves of the medical resources in Windham which alas probably equals most and would be hard to verify. Hmm. This probably didn't help you but I tried.
