Greetings,

First time visitors looking for some information.
What are the options available for business travelers who required to go to Bristol from JFK international airport? Please keep it in mind we will be travelling with luggage.

1) City to City Cab/Taxi service? Availability & rough estimation on fares would be great. Please share if one knows any reputed city to city taxi service.
1) are there any inter-city bus service from JFK?
2) or Train service from JFK or nearby JFK?

Thank you,
George

Taxi or Limo would be the only direct way. Otherwise, it would be bus or train to Hartford or New Haven, and then taxi to Bristol.

I'll have to leave it to another to chime in on cab companies and rates.

I'd definitely try to take a train from NYC to CT. A cab would be ridiculously expensive for that kind of distance.

I would try to rent a car and drive, if you can. Easiest and probably cheapest option.

You could try CT AirLink. There's no bus service directly from JFK to Bristol, but there is a pick up/drop off location in Southington, which I don't think is too far. One way fare from JFK to Southington is $64. Not sure how you'd get from Southington to Bristol though. Local cab probably, but I'm not familiar w/ any of the companies that service the area. CT Airlink Shuttle - Pick-Up/Drop-Off Southington

Thank you. I was referring Google for one cab service it appears as $300 + toll + gratuity. any idea at what percentage gratuity to be added(it is not mentioned). I am guessing we need to add a tips as well. Is this how it works?

For the train option, can you please mention the train station names (from and to) I should look for.

Thanks,
George

I have used Premier Limo in the past as a business traveler and been fully satisfied:

https://www.premierlimo.net/jfk-limo-service.html

We used to get a $85 one-way corporate rate (which I thought was a steal)...count on about 2.5 hrs ride. They use big cars (or van) so luggage is not an issue.

we would not prefer rent and drive after a long tiresome journey. Also, we got news it's been snowing out there. not too confident, never drove in these conditions. Thanks for your input.

Fair enough. I'm not sure when you will be coming, but snow is rare from mid-March through the summer. I hear you on driving after a long journey - it will be tiring. But you will pay a lot for a limo/cab.
