As far as above comment about that area with the bodegas...it's maybe 1-2 square miles. There was a quarry there and they are old quarry workers homes that have become low income rentals. The areas next to Terryville, Burlington, Farmington, etc have the feel of those areas. If you only drive through town on route numbers you won't get to see what the city has to offer.

Come on folks, we know where this is leading. Let's not play that silly game.

Yup, just like hartford and most ghetto towns, a lot of bodegas are drug markets.

Then you got the drug dealers just standing in front of the stores and corners.

LOL at the people that knows nothing about the ghetto towns and ghetto sections of a town and some of the real sh1t that goes on. They probably think they are just hard working people standing in the street. LOL.

Most of the bodegas in NYC are not used for narcotics trafficking. If there are some, it is just some. Most narcotics exchange hands outside on the street, or in someone's private residence. If there are any bodega owners who so happen to deal drugs, why bring a legit business into it? It can be in the wifey's name and if you go to jail at least your family has something. Now if you dont have a family why even have a bodega, unless you want something legit on the side. In that case, why taint it with drug dealing?

I dont know but did the Lanza kid have a genetic defect that handicapped him mentally? Or was he turned insane by something else? The only thing I can think of is he was bullied relentlessly as a child and no one stepped up to protect him or help him at the least. That does say something about the town and the people in there, he grew up in and with regardless of how pristine the lawns, and exterior facade is.

I don't know nyc that well, maybe due to the high population density and more people in the streets, it would be harder for the police to spot a hand to hand transaction, therefore make more sense to just do it in the streets.

I know for a FACT that numerous bodegas on park st and wethersfield ave in hartford are drug markets, a few has already been raided by the cops.

For example, there are probably like 10 bodegas on park st in hartford in a 1/3 mile radius, not to mention a CVS, Walgreens and Family dollar. One must wonder how all these bodegas can make a profit that close to each other.

Nope, no one bullied Lanza. However, he himself, was quite the recluse and was not interested in making friends. He had ample amount of support from his brothers, and the administration did try their best. He grew up in a great environment. As for genetic defect, he had some severe case of social anxiety or something. I was told he had something that made him very receptive to his touch sense. Not sure, though. He was not turned insane, however. I can say that he didn't value human life like the average person like you or I might.
