Many great players get no championships. Any WNBA fan knows that. The PAC12 will send many to WNBA the next few years in round 1. They do not have 11 championships.

BTW Jay , Geno recruits unselfish players only. You get a bunch of good ones, you get synergy. That is a key. Stewy did not care if she failed to score 35 a game, and she could have. Jefferson was a star shooting gaurd in high school-the noticied position, who moved to the unheralded point guard role. In both cases, team needs mattered most. Last year, Stewy was losing composure after championship because she got Most Outstanding Player award (wrongly) and wanted to know if she could give it to Jefferson who deserved it. TEAM.

He avoids those who fail to understand why their is no "i" in team.
Gino..take a team with only 1 or 2 top recruits and win a championship. ....YEA RIGHT.

You guys crack me up. Team synergy, team players blah blah blah. Its all about talent.

How would Geno do at a school that doesn't focus on women's basketball? Not a lot of schools take women's basketball seriously. The same could be said about Coach K, Jim Boeheim, John Calipari, or Tom Izzo in men's college basketball.

Geno did that. Taurasi was his only top notch player on 3 title teams.

lol..back when there was 1 top player... in the whole league.

Womens basketball has come a long way. Now if they diversify the talent to more than 1 school they will actually get an audience.

They have many great programs. And the tourney is a giant economic event. When a city has it, hotels for 30 miles around are 100% full for most of a week. I went while living near Nashville, and it was busier than I'd ever seen it..including NHL playoff games btw.

Oregon State IMO is emulating UConn. ND, Baylor, South Carolina also outstanding..each better than any program was 15 years ago IMO.
