New Haven is over 90 minutes on the train and would be an expensive commute. There are great areas of New Haven, but at under $1000 you are priced out of them for the most part.

I don't think moving to CT is a great idea honestly. Even from Bridgeport you have to consider the commute is going to cost a few hundred a month just in train fares.

You can't commute by car to Manhattan from Bridgeport. It's impossible with traffic.

Bridgeport

Black Rock stay west of ellsworth street, North End recommed Testo's Restaurant area around Madison Ave and Park and merritt canteen area stay west of Main street. Black Rock you got restaurants, pizza place, movie theater, close to Fairfield shopping areas and Fairfield Metro train station, nice walk by st mary by the sea. The downsize is Bridgeport schools are one of top 3 underperforming districts in the state

New Haven

Wooster Square and East Rock it close to vibrant Downtown New Haven and entertainment

Checkout Stratford and Milford also

Morning Hours I-95 from New Haven to Stamford area is very heavy and evening too

Don't expect a Big city feel in in CT because our cities are small by national standards
