Well I figured that which is one of the many reasons I wanted to move to CT, to kind of get away from the hustle and bustle and the fact that the homeschooling laws are so lenient there

The commute itself will be far more stressful and give you a feeling of hustle and bustle outweighing any perceived advantage to living in CT. Bridgeport isn't exactly bucolic either. What about NJ?

OP- I have to say this but nothing you are saying or planning on doing is making any sense. If this is a real post, let's throw some numbers around

You have a monthly income of 2,000

Your child is home schooled but you work full time. That means child care from early morn till 6PM or later while you're gone five days a week. I'll be conservative- that might be $ 250 a week or $ 1,000 a month.

You need to travel to NYC- that's at least $ 300 a month just for the train. You have to also consider parking at the station. .

You need a place to live. Probably another 900- $ 1,000 if you can find something safe in that price range.
So, you're already deep in a financial hole and we haven't included electricity, food, clothes, phone, car maintenance, insurance, etc.

So maybe you want to run this by us again and try to have it make sense. I sure hope you have sizeable legit sources of income besides what you're telling us.
