I'm not sure that they will get $190m, but it's pretty impressive.

On Friday, a waterfront estate in Greenwich, Conn., was put up for sale. With a price tag of $190 million, it's believed to be the most expensive home now listed on the market in the U.S.

Interesting that most of the value is in the land, especially in the value of subdividing it.

I wouldn't pay more than $180 million for it.

It's not even listed on the main MLS for Fairfield County. And to think I just have humble 10,000 square foot home on 8+ acres listed here in Western Danbury for $2,100,000.

It's a one of a kind, custom built and designed one owner home. It's located on one of the most serene natural enviroments in the Greater Danbury area, complete with a 1 acre private pond,, waterfall, footbridge, meadows and woods. Addition 7+ acres may be included (1 acre zoning, potential for subdivision or keep for additional privacy). Only minutes to I-684 & I-84.

I wish the owners in Greenwich the best of luck.

Its Greenwich, home to the largest concentration in the country of residential properties worth more than $30 million!

Yes, there's a big gap between the $30 million mark and almost $200 million, but if there was a place where this could happen it would had definitely been Greenwich. Had it been in Bridgeport, then I would be surprised and more so if it sold. lol

Is it the Laura Nyro estate?

It is not the Nyro estate. It is near there. The property was owned by a local celebrity and my clients knocked down the previous home.
