Hi everyone, looking for some thought on chiropractors in the Hartford/Tolland area. I've been meaning to see one for about the last 5 years for fairly general, minor reasons: tight back, back that always feels like it needs to "crack", and poor posture.

Starting back in Oct of last year, I starting battling a sudden bout of acid reflux ... or at least what I think is reflux. September was a one-two combo of major stress (work) and a horrible allergy season for me (sneezing so bad, upwards of 75 time a day, that pain would shoot down my arms like lightning).

I've never dealt with anything GI in the past, so I'm still figuring it all out. I believe it may be due to a hiatal hernia, because my symptoms are more than heartburn: chest pain, upper back/shoulder pain, chest spasms, etc. I've been to the doc 6 times in the past 6 months. Chest X-rays clear. We tried Prilosec for two months...and while that alleviated any burning, it never helped the chest pain (I think it even led to more chest pain...certainly other side effects), H Pylori test was negative. Next step is a scope.

I believe it might be a hiatal hernia because it's worse during the work week when sitting a lot. Get this, I went on vacation to the Bahamas 3 weeks ago for a week ... after the first day there, I felt nothing for the week! I think that was due to not really "sitting"; I was lounging, swimming and walking a lot .. but not really "sitting". After two days back in the office (two weeks ago), it all started coming back.

There is also the possibility that the very forceful sneezing in mid-late September mechanically induced a HH (symptoms started early October).

Anyhow, I think it's time to become god friends with a chiropractor. Does anyone have any good recommendations for the Hartford/Tolland Area? Thanks for any advice!
