I chose Newtown, but it's a close race. Bethel has a great town center, a train station, more convenient to lower FFC, and some really nice areas. I don't know why it's so shocking.

I refrained from participating because some of these matchups are just bizarre(like Westport vs. Stratford). But i would like to ask those of you that selected New Milford over Woodbury..........why?
I'm not trying to diss New Milford but i don't think Woodbury has
this issue.

^ I read that article just recently -- super aggressive beggars! It's enough for me to avoid going there. Shame because it's really a nice looking downtown. I always think NM could be on the verge of becoming someplace great in this area, but it never happens. They need to figure this one out fast.

Yeah. You never used to see it in the suburbs, but i have noticed in the last few years panhandlers holding signs at the bottom of exit ramps on 95, or very near 95. Stratford and Milford cops seem to do a good job at pressuring them to move along, but still, it's unsettling to see.

Comparing Westport to Stratford, Oxford to Derby and Cheshire to Meriden is not a fair comparison. Stratford should be compared to Shelton and Oxford should be compared to Cheshire. I wont really play this game because the comparisons are really bad....

True, but I do disagree with Westport and Stratford because I prefer Stratford. But yeah Meriden and Cheshire aren't as fair, but I am doing this by county so I cannot be as fair. I might cross counties for next rounds or I might not, haven't decided this yet. But yeah even if your not playing I still encourage you to be in this thread because you've got good ideas for improvement in the next rounds, you know that you can skip this round and join in at any round right? That is definatly acceptable and well encouraged if you don't like a certain round. This is only Round 1 for those of you who are not clear. Also I am keeping score on this you know?
