Buderus makes a high-efficiency boiler for oil heat systems. Buderus is pricey but it's arguably the best quality heating equipment on the US market.

The one downside to having Buderus equipment is that it's not always easy to find someone for servicing/repairs that is really familiar with the system. But the Buderus site has a list of certified installers and techs per area.

The Buderus is the only oil boiler that qualifies for the $1500 tax credit. So if you can afford that boiler plus a high efficiency burner, you can definitely save $ on heating costs. That's my wish list for a heating system for sure.
