Fairfield County only has 6% more job openings at this time than Hartford County. Hartford County has been a strong job market historically and still is. Just run searches on Indeed.com and see for yourself.

That's great Nep, but you don't live at the national level, you live in Fairfield County and, as you yourself have stated, you don't earn decent money. If it makes you feel better to compare yourself with the country as a whole, then more power to you but it is an illusion. This is similar to telling people that live in an area with a homicide rate greater than Honduras, that they should feel safe because the national US homicide rate is quite low.

Hartford County borders Massachusetts. Enfield which is a town right on the Massachusetts border has a lot of jobs. Lego's American headquarters is located there. Jay

Yup, they call the northern part the "quite corner" for a reason.

Hartford, then Stamford If you go Downtown Hartford during work week alot of car and foot traffic you will be amazed. Some apartments are begin built and renovated in Downtown Hartford also that something to be watch plus the New Haven to Springfield Amtrak Line improvements by 2016.
