This spot is on my run route when I'm in CT...I've run by it many times. It's a VERY small space, I don't know what the heck they would put there!

Another one, same road. Connecticut Avenue, Norwalk. Near PetSmart. Don't forget the new Storage Facility and condo that went up behind Burger King.

Another view

Google view from 2015. Looks like they took down that building and using up more of the parking lot for a bigger structure. Hey, at least they aren't sky scrapers. lol

The developer of the Shops at So No are requesting to eliminate the hotel portion of the project. This has the City Council questioning whether the mall will ever get built. Given all the brick and mortar stores closing these days, I can understand their concern. It will be interesting to see what happens but if construction is not begun soon, I too question if it will ever get built. Jay

Questions emerge about Norwalk mall

Sounds doomed. Why don't they just build housing there with 1st floor retail? Would make a lot more sense.

I assume you are referencing the mall and not the downtown Norwalk rebirth. The key to the mall is that they have two pretty strong anchors set to come there. If they back out, it is definitely doomed. If just Nordstroms backs out I think it is also doomed. It is very odd though that they are building a mall when so many retailers around the country are closing. Will see. Jay

Yes, the mall. Downtown Norwalk is the type of development that should be focused on.
