"The Obama administration cleared the way for the first exports of unrefined American oil in nearly four decades, allowing energy companies to start chipping away at the longtime ban on selling U.S. oil abroad.

In separate rulings that haven't been announced, the Commerce Department gave Pioneer Natural Resources Co. and Enterprise Products Partners LP permission to ship a type of ultralight oil known as condensate to foreign buyers. The buyers could turn the oil into gasoline, jet fuel and diesel."

Typical media misrepresentation again. Even if the prices go back to what they were in 2008, they will be not as high because the 2008 prices need to be adjusted for 6 years of inflation since then. So net-net gas prices have gone way down!

With a functional 2 party system like we have here in the US it's difficult...impossible even to vote for people on the merits of a particular cause (unless yoru a single issue voter of that cause).

Hybrids are still expensive. I will never drive a prius. I do pray for a hybrid, reasonably valued FJ Cruiser to enter the market though. drooool. Then I can drive over all those stupid smart cars.
