Oh yeah, just looked at the list of "State" routes and realized my example of Route25 is part of it. Not sure then.

Why don't you just contact DOT? I've done many times with success. I even told them to lift an exit sign up because it interfered with the onramp of the Merrit. Sure enough they did it a week later.

Contact them via email with a picture or call. They'll be glad to explain it or fix it.

The StreetView image is as of October 2012, so the signs have been there at least since then.
