5. New Haven

New Haven scored #5 on the list for the world's best pizza according to this Huffington Post article.

Full List
5. New Haven, CT
4. Boston, MA
3. Rome, Italy
2. Naples, Italy
1. New York, NY

Thoughts? Think New Haven should be ranked higher or lower?

...Boston?

As for the list, I don't know, I guess New Haven belongs there. Maybe Chicago too, since it's the center of it's own style. I've certainly heard it associated with Pizza more than Boston.

What a ridiculous article. Grimaldi's or Patsy's traditional pizza?

Being born in Brooklyn/Queens border, with an Italian mother, I was probably fed pizza before breastfed. I have come to dislike NY pizza. I would call it PizzaMex. Spanish guys ruin it for me, with their Aztec spices.

NH pizza is somewhat authentic. But, I mean, who cares?

Boston? On a best pizza list? When I lived there, I was surprised by how mediocre the pizza was. Same thing with Providence.

i have to admit that to see naples and NY in the same list sound really strange to me... and in the article the only thing that looks like a real pizza is the Naples' one (also the Rome's one looks strange...)

Agree with this. I tolerate NY pizza, with the exception of a few places.

Also, Boston made the list, but not Chicago?

Boston has a few good pizza places, but there's no way it outranks New Haven.

Agree. Some of the worst pizza I've had was in the Boston area (which their residents swore was the best they could find).
