Speaking of which....why is Waterford so cheap? Is it the proximity to New London? The school system is good.

Perhaps I'm missing something....but besides being responsible for extra maintenance (snow removal/grass cutting), what are the other cons of purchasing a house versus a condo? Home-owners insurance?
You'd need home insurance for a condo as well - most mortgage companies will require it.

Some people don't like Waterford because the Millstone nuclear plant in town.

Plus, Route 85 and just off of 85, is full of just about every big box store & chain restaurant you can find in CT - Best Buy, Target, super Wal-Mart, BJ's, Home Depot, Lowe's, Panera Bread, Dunkin Donuts, Ruby Tuesday, Olive Garden, etc.

It sold 3 times since 1999. Weird that they have it listed as built in 2013.

Could have been somebody that tore it down & rebuilt it? Could have been destroyed in a fire & rebuilt? Maybe it was a trashed foreclosure that somebody bought, tore down and rebuilt?

This threads a few months old, but wanted to put in my 2 cents. I live in Manchester, it's ok. It IS close to an hour drive to Norwich though.
My suggestion would be the Putnam area. I 395 runs right to Rte 2. When I lived in NE CT I worked at the casino (near Norwich) and it was a pretty decent drive, around half hour. I've lived in Putnam, Woodstock, Brooklyn, and Killingly- all along 395. You may have to hunt a bit for condos out that way, but I loved living out that way
