We recently moved to the town of Fairfield and we're loving it so far. The only problem is finding good affordable care for my 1 year old daughter. We are not opposed to in home options, but we need a glowing referral. We are looking to pay around $300 a week and want something that is close to the Merritt Parkway. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Hi, and welcome to Fairfield. Daycare is definitely tight, but try Teddy Bear Corner - my son went there for the 2's program and it was great. I think they start at 6 months.

I looked at Noona's on Black Rock Tpke by the Merrit and really liked her (in home), but we wanted something more structured.

Also check out A Child's Garden, he went there for 2 years - great place. Curiosity Corner gets rave reviews as well.
Also check this list out and start calling places:
Preschools & Day Care Centers | Fairfield Public Library

There really isn't "bad" daycare around, so don't worry too much.

Good luck,
Jesse

Thank you for your response! We are open to both centers and in-home. My one year old daughter is in a daycare center now, but we are looking for a more nurturing environment. Nonna was great and her center is small and close to our house. Unfortunately she is full, so we're on her waiting list. We'll look into Teddy Bear Corner. We are going to look at Pumpkin Preschool too. A Child's Garden is 385 a week, so it is out of our price range unfortunately. Thanks again for the input, it's greatly appreciated!
