I went to get my pay plan this morning and it starts $12,000 less than what I made last year.

Respectfully, and for what it's worth: 1) Cutting out that commute will add almost four years to your life (by eliminating the effect of prolonged stress on immune system). Depending on how you look at it, that's four more years you have to earn back the comp difference, in a more congenial environment. Strictly on the basis of raw dollars you are money ahead; and 2) you will make more in commission on BMW parts than on GM parts.

Personally, I'd say it's a no-brainer. Congrats on making the decision you made!

He did not take it well? Sorry to hear that. You would think he would understand but hopefully the next two weeks go okay for you. You did the right thing. Good luck, Jay

Oh well.

Are you home yet?

No, of course not. The ride sucked tonight. Pretty soon you won't have to deal with it though.

I know how that is, I've had 3 offers this week with Dodge, Chevrolet, and Acura. I like the vibe of this Chevy dealer cause the manager is also from New York but I don't wAnt to get buried under ignition switch recalls all day.

Before going into the independent shops I've actually worked for Honda/Acura and Dodge, so I know that product line pretty well, I love my HEMI Durango with the 5.7 liter magnum.

This is in Virginia at the moment but I feel pretty confident that I can get some offers up in Connecticut if we ultimately decide to move back up north.

He didn't at first but then we talked. He was stunned because he doesn't want me to go. They said whatever I need to stay, they would try to do. He knows it the distance and traffic. I felt really bad because I like him. Its the other idiots I don't like. I'm too nice......I told my wife tonight that it would easier to leave on a bad note.
