I agree but I think its because when they do radar on 84 or 95 they cause everyone to slam on their brakes, causing traffic.

MA drivers pretty much mirror the awful habits of CT, and are every bit as likely to slam on the brakes at the sight of the blue & red lights (even if they're coming from the opposite direction!) I disagree about the difference in enforcement--I've driven the entire length of I-90 in the state numerous times, and have rarely seen any state police presence whatsoever--even in the very rural western end (Berkshires).

I-84 is pretty well enforced east of the river. There's almost always a trooper lurking in one of the turnarounds on the section with the HOV lanes in Manchester/Vernon. Usually a trooper present around exit 68, and then toward the state line.

I drive the stretch of the Mass Pike from I-91 to the NY line often and almost ALWAYS see at least one cop, every time. I'm usually driving on weekends, so I don't know if that makes a difference.

After my visit in CT I went to Manchester, NH and yes the MA state troopers on the Mass Pike taking numbers the real old fashioned way. But Wethersfield CT cop cars - are they sure that they have enough "equipment" mounted on their cars? I thought I saw tanks instead, just needed the camouflage paintjob.

I wish that police all around would REALLY enforce the texting and or holding a phone while driving law.

I always said if I was a cop I'd be writing tickets all day to people for things like this, or not using their signal, no headlights at proper times (rain, fog, night even), etc.

Sorry you got caught, not really. The law used to be first offense was a slap on the wrist and show proof with a receipt you have or purchased a hands free device and they let it go. Not sure if that has changed or not though.
Danbury PD isn't playing games. I hear a bunch of people around here talking about being ticketed.
