For the first time ever, today, I went to Caraluzzi's grocery store in Wilton.

Seriously....this grocery store is EXCELLENT AS HELL!!!

It meets all of my high standards criteria for a grocery store:
  • Non-ghetto clientele
  • Not too big; not too small
  • A dining area
  • Friendly employees
  • Nice people who smile at you
  • Cute young guys working there
  • Great customer service
  • Fresh produce
  • Pre-packaged deli meats
  • Excellent, fresh seafood and fresh meats
  • A wide array of natural/organic foods
  • Nice looking floors and building material
  • Excellent selection of prepared foods
Oh my god, I LOVED it!

Too bad there isn't one in Norwalk.

They're supposedly opening one in Danbury -- I cannot wait! Until then though, I will continue to visit their Bethel location. Love it too!

The Caraluzzi's technically isnt in Wilton. It is in the Wilton Shopping Plaza, a few miles up in Georgetown.

Actually it is located entirely in the town of Wilton, just not the downtown section. And yes it seriously is the best food store in existence. Period. Full stop. Georgetown is not a town just a neighborhood that spans portions of Redding, Weston and Wilton.

Yep! I never went to the Wilton location -- only Bethel, but I would imagine both are very similar? Anyone here who has been to both locations? Do I need to visit Wilton, or is Bethel basically the same? Looking forward to the new Danbury location. I think it's supposed to be on Mill Plain Rd, possibly near Trader Joe's? Can anyone confirm? Also, to whoever is really into groceries AND beer -- I highly recommend De Cicco's, but only their Brewster/Southeast or Armonk NY locations. Cross-River (former D'Agostino's) location - NOPE, don't bother at all! Brewster/Southeast or Armonk - Hell YES!!

Wrong. It absolutely IS in Wilton. It's within the Wilton incorporated town borders. By the same token, it is within the Georgetown area within Wilton.

I've been to the Wilton location. It just wasn't Caraluzzi's at the time. I think it was Ancona's back then. I like the Newtown Caraluzzi's slightly more than Bethel, but both are good.

Good to know. Next time maybe I will check out Newtown instead of going back to Bethel. Thx!

Town, Area, City, what's the difference . I once called Windham, CT a city, even though it actually is a town.
