Saw that it is "too early to call" - that usually means that there is a leader from the exit polls, but they still need a bit more data to confirm. So, it seems somebody has a lead. If it was neck & neck, they normally say "too close to call"

....and for the record I accept the fact that we as a country do need some basic taxation. I am for a consumption tax as long as the taxes are properly allocated.

A gasoline tax WOULD be a 100% perfect example of this as a consumption tax if IN FACT 100% the revenue collected went for road / bridge maintenance.

However that is not the case.

Government feels that government should be a growth industry. That is a huge problem for lower to mid level earners, say those that earn between $25,000 - $60,000 a year, and I'm just throwing those numbers out there.

....so you don't think I'm a MR Grinch....

I consider myself a pretty generous person. I sponsor 3 kids (young adults) now in college in another country where my $1.00 US dollar is roughly equivalent to $40 over there......I'd like to help some needy young adult in college here but for what I can pay for a 4 year education for one person overseas in a quality college.....would not even pay for one single semester of college here. So I've been doing this charity so to speak now for about 8 years.

I'll stop my rant now as it's clear I'm getting off on another tangent.

peace....
