I wonder what image searching will show up for the user name!

OP, If you get more tenure at this job, you will likely find getting new jobs later far easier. You need to get by the new gig every 1-2 year routine. In a professional office environment, that is not looked upon favorably.

I'll make my last post here b/c imho it will be locked/closed very soon.

In essence there's no utopia and to learn FAST that compromises need to be made otherwise unhappiness will be the daily and or lifetime norm.

I wish nep only the best.

Until the next thread,

It takes 25 minutes to drive FROM Norwalk TO Stamford in the morning. In the evening, it typically takes about 35-40 minutes to drive FROM Stamford TO Norwalk. And it's just a 9 mile drive. Unbelievable. But taking the train takes even longer (about 50 minutes, when you include walking, waiting and more).

The 1 image of Nep doesn't present him to be strange looking or ugly(speaking from a hetero standpoint).

If this is true, then I agree with you. Regular 40 minutes to go 9 miles and for the rent you're paying is ridiculous. Move to Danbury -- the west side -- you can take 121 straight down into Bedford and then jog over to long ridge road right into Stamford. It's a pleasant/scenic drive and you're always moving. If you can find an apartment REALLY REALLY close to exit 1 or 2, Danbury, it'll take you 45 minutes. And you'll likely pay a fraction of what you're paying in Norwalk (though I'm no expert on how the two towns' rents compare. you might want to look into it though).

Or just find another job and move far away from it all.

I think I'm just going to quit my job and move COLD TURKEY. I made a huge mistake by moving here and it's time to undo it and get back on track with life again. Living here on $75K is very challenging. I am on month to month right now and if I quit my job and leave, there would be no obligations. This is in line with the advice some have given in this thread that say "Nep, the only one keeping you here is YOU." I think they're right. I have the power to make a change in a matter of weeks. Just give my 2 week notice on the job, and give my 30 day notice to leave the apartment. Just pack up and LEAVE.

This. I really want to be out of the entire NYC CSA altogether.
