You can't be serious. "If someone can afford a nice house at your age in Fairfield County, so can you."
Except for one problem......not all of us 30 year olds make six figures around here. Schools and access to culture doesn't appeal to me anyway. The culture around here is terrible and thrives upon a "me first" and money mentality. Even my therapist (a native to FFC) was encouraging me to leave the area, because "it's all about the façade." She's right.
And income inequality is a HUGE problem in this country right now. Fortunately awareness is now widespread and some politicians are working to resolve the matter as soon as possible.
Generally, folks who make six figures, and can afford lower Fairfield County, value education, hard work, and culture. I'm talking top schools, trips to museums/Broadway/philharmonic, etc. If that doesn't appeal to you, it's not surprising that you're not in that elite segment. You have to work for what you want, and it seems like you don't want to put in the effort. Let others work hard and buy the house in Fairfield County and enjoy the benefits, and you can move somewhere less cultured.

I agree with you many people work hard for their wealth like Dr's and lawyers but CT does have a lot of generational wealth/trust funds kids that are millionaires and never did anything with their life. My best friend to a boarding school in CT, trust I know.
At $75,000 a year plus an annual bonus you should be able to afford something in the $250,000 to $275,000 range. There are homes in that range in Stamford and Norwalk.
In Stamford, there most certainly isn't anything available in that range.
In Norwalk, it's rare to see, and when you do see it, you better move fast on it.
Hopefully Malloy will do this to solve the 1.3 Billion dollar budget deficit
Its a win win!!!!
You sound LIKE OBAMA i like it man
