Question high tech jobs

We are looking at possibly relocating from the San Francisco Bay Area to Conn. I don't know much about Conn and was wondering where the majority of the high tech jobs are in Conn? My husband is a software engineer and has 10+ yrs experience in Silicon Valley. He currently works for a biotech company but is willing to work for a company in the other fields. Not sure if Hartford has many jobs or would it be smarter to look at the southern part of CT. I think Stamford has a lot of big companies. Thanks in advance for the info.

As a software engineer you husband should first submit resumes to Technology companies in the state.

These links may provide some information

You Belong in CT - Software IT

Computer Software Companies in Connecticut (CT)

Design Software Connecticut - Connecticut, design software, Connecticut software design, Connecticut graphic design, Connecticut web designDesign SoftwareSoftware Development

Senior Software Design Engineer - Wilton - Connecticut

If his specialty is Biotechnology- The New Haven area is perhaps a leader here for new companies in the genre. Stamford would have perhaps the largest number of jobs for software designers and engineers.

Hartford would have the fewest- but it would be best to check all the metro regions of the state. Hartford would by far have the lowest cost of living.

The SF Bay area is the national leader in technology- Silicon valley perhaps the most saturated region worldwide in the number of software and hardware companies it is home to. Connecticut's IT industry is far smaller.

I fully understand the cost of living in San Jose-Sunnyvale-Santa Clara can be daunting for many people. Connecticut is a high quality state, with much to offer- finding the appropriate employment will be the important factor for you as a first step in moving here. Best of luck.
