Hello! Thanks for reading. My husband and myself recently moved to Greenwich from abroad. We've struggled to find a good house cleaner that isn't super expensive, and the cost of dog walkers seems to be similar to childcare! We live in a not massive 2 bedroom townhome, dog doesn't shed, no kiddlets, and we are clean, but the quotes we've gotten are sometimes hundreds of dollars. Same with the dog. We love her...but she's a dog, and spending 50 dollars a day for someone to hang out with her for a few hours isn't sustainable. Are these just the prices in this area? We moved from London, so I thought my ability to be sticker shocked was done I'd like to hire individuals, but it's hard to do so without references. Any suggestions are so appreciated

Try a place like care.com to find somebody to clean your home. You can browse through the local people to find one that is well reviewed and/or in your price range. You would need to buy a membership to make contact with the cleaning person, though.

I'd suggest asking your neighbors or coworkers in the area for a recommendation. You can also ask your veterinarian for a dog walker rec.

A lot of housecleaning services also put up ads in the local grocery stores, schools, churches, etc. I've seen Greenwich Maids around a lot, but not sure what their rates are...

Also check the local paper. There usually are ads for services you can check. Jay
