Also thanks for the info on the train to Boston. I'm really leaning towards taking a train rather than driving in and out of there.

Hey. As I told a realtor in Ct "I'm not poor, I'm just cheap". I am swapping my house in Italy for 6 weeks this summer. Cars etc. Perhaps someone from CT wants to hang out in Vegas, Grand Canyon, Hover Dam etc for the time you are in CT.

That is an interesting and creative way to reduce cost on a vacation. I would have never even thought of it. Unfortunatly the idea of strangers in my home creeps me out too much so I don't think I will entertain that idea. I will probably pick one of the central-ish location suggested and spend the day driving around.

If you're not familiar with Boston, i'd be very leery of driving in to Fenway (although it's well worth it to make the trip in to a game). Fenway is located right alongside the Mass Pike, but once you're on city streets, driving gets a little crazy. I once drove around Boston for an hour, trying to get to a restaurant in the North End.
In any case, drive or train, allow yourself plenty of time; there's lots of atmosphere to soak up in- and out-side the ballpark. And, if you don't already have tickets, you may have to deal with scalpers.
