It's somewhere in the mid 30s here in S/E CT. My car said 36, so we're above freezing at least. Weather.com is down to 2-6" total for S/E CT as well. Big change from 11-17 yesterday morning.

Was my phone the only one that was beeping "blizzard warning" yesterday?

35F at JFK now. What's the deal for Long Island? Snow to rain? Maybe a couple inches before the change-over?

Was just reading the OKX forecast discussion last updated about an hour ago and they are starting to really worry both about the 'bust' potential (ie plain rain part of Monday and how far north that happens) and people pooh poohing it (ie it turns to rain so people think its nothing bur it gets very icy by/before afternoon/evening rush.

They did note that a lot of snow that does fall especially CT coast on soutg may wash away if it rains but that also the potential for serious icing.

Looks like NWS has lowered snow totals and added ice. 1/3 to 1/2 inch now forecast for coast up to 1/4 inland. Thats not a small amount of ice.

Current radar 3:10pm. Lots of 8-12" snow total reports coming from IA,IL,IN.
Clouds entering CT now from the system. Snowing in PA.

NOT the storm we were talking about yesterday but we should see 4"+ south of 84. 7"+ north of 84.

Bernie says it... GFS beat the Euro. I cant believe this now Northern New England in on it.

I think I learned my lesson from the last storm when I picked up on something.

I mentioned it earlier today that the High pressure wasn't in the right spot, the models showed warming, and the position & movement of the storm was not the best for us for heavy snows... and the concern for ice was increasing NYC area and coast. So glad I caught that!!

I feel good about that but feel like crap about the storm. It's Winter, I cant believe we have to deal with mixing now. I don't want ICE!

0.4" of ice? Maybe THIS as the storm they should be having travel bans for I remember the ice 2 weeks ago and I dont think anyone had more than 0.1" then......

I work p/t on sunday mornings and called in that day as I could barely move my car despite anti locks AND traction control......much worse than snow......

yea ..and ice will just make for worse driving tomorrow. Rather it just be snow. I am wonderin if this north trend just continues and tomorrow morning we have the coast of CT above freezing too. Right now that is not forecast.

Also, aren't you becoming increasingly worried about some serious ice problems?
