6am: intensity a bit less (.30" last 1/2hr). Total now 5.7" still snowing. Temp 25°. Wind Chill 14°

any idea how bad the roads are/will be? its going to freezing rain/sleet all day. i can see it being a mess.

trying to decide if i should work from home.

Changing over now here. Got Snow with ice pellets. Ugh. Well that was fun! 6" total melted to 0.85" liquid! Snow got wetter towards the end. 8:1 ratio average.

Do I shovel now or later when it all freezes over or is slush? I don't want a layer of ice on the ground if I shovel now.

6:40am Radar and metars. Freezing Rain in NYC. Heavy Rain at JFK and Snowing at the CT coast with 1/2 mile visibility

Work from home. Ice and sleet wont make roads better.. We'll see if its rain.. see post above where it changed to rain

thanks. i am in westchester county along the hudson. i hear the freezing rain now.


surprised anything is turning to rain, isn't it only getting to around 32 degrees today and then dropping again?
